About Us

The Gate Lever idea came about after several years of being unable to open the gate to the back yard due to a broken string and gate latch too low to reach. We were tired of going around the house to get into the back yard. We believed there had to be a better way. Not finding any better options, we invented one ourselves.

The very first prototype was made with a coat hanger and construction metal, which proved to work well, but not smoothly. Shortly after, a new, more formal, better lever was made. This proved so helpful that we believed others would benefit from it. The original is still on the gate and working very well.
